About Dachser

Dachser Ltd is the UK arm of Dachser Intelligent Logistic, which has its headquarters based in Germany. Dachser is a family-owned enterprise and Europe’s second largest logistics company with a turnover in excess of €5bn. Their UK head office is based in Northampton with a number of other branches spread across the country, including Rochdale, Dartford and Bristol.

Arc Business Interiors first completed work for Dachser back in 2014, and they have been clients of ours ever since, a reflection of our ability to maintain relationships with long-standing clients who return to our services time and time again.

Our brief

Arc Business Interiors was approached by Dachser to assist with furnishing their UK head office in Northampton. This new building by Winvic would include a two-storey office facility, along with a number of other office spaces within the warehouse/gatehouse.

Here at Arc Business Interiors, we create functional and inviting workspaces that are bespoke to each and every customer. With each project, we aim to speak for the client’s brand personality through every element of the design and furniture, as well as improving the comfort, usability and flexibility of the working environment in line with the client’s aspirations.

Our team was initially competing with three other companies for the assignment, and so we made sure our design and furnishing plan was impeccable and well-suited to the client’s needs – an approach that successfully won us the project.

What we did

Arc Project Designer, Liz Wright, took the lead on this furniture-only project. As part of our approach, we designed and completed all open-plan office spaces to consist of desks with sliding tops to allow easier access for IT, storage and operator chairs.

We also fitted out a range of manager and director offices which had a different level of specification depending on the roles, and this included both open-plan offices and individual offices. We also furnished a bespoke boardroom, reception, a full canteen, male and female locker rooms with bespoke colours to match the client’s corporate brand guidelines, and a training room.

The project statistics

The overall project had a value of around £220,000, and covered a space to accommodate 200 staff members. In total, the undertaking lasted two weeks from beginning to final project completion.

The handover

Dachser was very pleased with the final result delivered by Liz Wright and the team at Arc Business Interiors. Since the successful completion of their head office in 2014, Arc Business Interiors has been asked to furnish the rest of their UK offices as well, highlighting the quality and dedication we show to our clients who return to us as a trusted long-standing partner for furnishing and commercial fit-outs.
