Everards of Leicestershire Offices

The Client: After being at their old premises for over 30 years, Everards of Leicestershire noticed it was starting to feel dated. Realising that the surrounding lands had a lot of potential, managing director Stephen Gould and the rest of the team at Everards took the decision to move the offices and brewery 600 yards away to brand new premises.
This is where Arc Business Interiors came in. Our mission was to design and deliver a fresh office building with two floors, overlooking the impressive 72 acres of parkland.

Consultation: In the initial stages, Arc presented solutions for smart working to increase both capacity and productivity of the office. We listened closely to our client, but also gently encouraged outside-the-box thinking. Everards responded well to the idea of a more progressive approach to office design, and so it was decided to plan the space with 65% smart working in place – this included more collaborative areas, more non-assigned desks, and an overall approach to design which allowed for greater flexibility and collaboration but also independence.

Each area of the office was carefully planned to benefit the employees, and locations and positioning were carefully chosen. Fabrics and finishes were finalised, along with plans to include the corporate branding. From the consultation process, the client was empowered to make informed decisions and to really examine how they currently worked and how this could look in the future.

Samples: Next, we ordered sample furniture for the Everards’ employees to use, sit in, work in and really get a feel for, and this helped to make everyone feel involved in the process.

Fit-Out: Finally, the fit-out was carried out. We worked in close creative partnership with the architect Franklin Ellis, and also collaborated closely with electrical contractors and other parties involved in the project – including the client themself.

The Final Result: The finished creation was an inviting, invigorating and inspiring space that encouraged collaboration and smart working. The new office has been very well received by staff members, helping them feel more comfortable about returning to the office after a long time working from home. During our time, we also developed a strong working relationship with the Everards team, and had lots of fun carrying out the design and delivery of this project.
